Law360, New York (February 09, 2012, 11:04 PM ET) -- A grand jury in Missouri delivered a pair of 136-count indictments accusing Georgia-based foreclosure service company DocX LLC and its president of committing forgery through their alleged robosigning practices, the state's attorney general announced Tuesday.
“The grand jury indictment alleges that mass-produced fraudulent signatures on notarized real estate documents constitutes forgery,” Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster said Tuesday. “Today’s indictment reflects our firm conviction that when you sign your name to a legal document, it matters.”
