Law360, New York (February 14, 2012, 12:15 PM ET) -- President Barack Obama's 2013 budget proposal, unveiled Monday, includes a $150 million lifeline to a politically controversial Ohio plant that would supply enriched uranium for nuclear power plants.
The money would go toward research and development at USEC Inc.'s American Centrifuge Project, which has seen its application for a $2 billion U.S. Department of Energy loan guarantee held up amid concerns about the commercial viability of its technology.
