EEOC Hammers Trucking Co. For Rejecting Disabled Drivers

Law360, New York (March 01, 2012, 3:55 PM ET) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission lodged a suit against Celadon Trucking Services Inc. in Indiana federal court Wednesday, alleging the trucking company’s hiring policies discriminate against job applicants with disabilities. 

In a complaint filed in Indiana federal court, the EEOC claims on behalf of disabled applicants that Celadon, in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, has policies in place that reject disabled drivers, despite their ability to do the job.
