Law360, New York (May 11, 2012, 3:10 PM ET) -- Kansas lawmakers proposed legislation Thursday to overturn a recent ruling by the state's high court, which held that a U.S. Supreme Court decision allowing companies to set minimum retail prices did not preclude a challenge to the practice under state antitrust law.
The state House Appropriations Committee introduced a bill meant to “correct the interpretation of the Kansas restraint of trade act” made in a decision handed down by the Kansas Supreme Court in O'Brien v. Leegin Creative Leather Products Inc.
