Law360, New York (May 29, 2012, 6:04 PM ET) -- Reacting to a rise in insurance fraud, Democratic Illinois Rep. Daniel Beiser introduced a measure Friday that would create a task force to study creating a permanent public-private partnership to combat property, casualty and medical insurance fraud in the state.
The National Insurance Crime Bureau has found that insurance fraud has significantly increased during the last three years, with Illinois specifically witnessing more staged motor vehicle accidents, false bodily injury claims and fraud by medical providers.
