Law360, New York (July 05, 2012, 12:13 PM ET) -- Blockbuster LLC agreed Tuesday in Minnesota federal court to amend its privacy policy in an effort to resolve claims in a putative class action that the video rental chain unlawfully retained sensitive information after subscribers canceled their memberships.
Lead plaintiff Baseem Missaghi asked the court to preliminarily approve a settlement that provides injunctive relief to a proposed class of former Blockbuster subscribers who claimed the video rental chain kept data such as credit card numbers and viewing histories.
