Nuns Sue Lead Co. Over Kids' Exposure In Peru

Law360, New York (July 20, 2012, 7:48 PM ET) -- The Doe Run Resources Corp., one of the world's largest integrated lead producers, was slapped with litigation in Missouri this week by two nuns claiming its facility in Peru exposed nearby children to dangerous amounts of lead and other contaminants.

Sisters Kate Reid and Megan Heeney filed state court complaints against St. Louis-based Doe Run and related companies on Tuesday and Thursday, on behalf of different groups of Peruvians who were children during the alleged period of pollution.
