Law360, New York (February 29, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- An appellate court has refused to allow former media baron Lord Conrad Black to put off his stay behind bars, ordering him to return to prison by Monday.
In an order Thursday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit denied Black's request to remain free on bond pending appeal.
The court said that his co-defendants, former Hollinger International Chief Financial Officer John Boultbee and former Vice President Peter Atkinson do not have to start serving their sentences until their appeals have been decided....
