Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 5:46 PM ET) -- A group of defendants accused by Hermes International SCA of running a network of websites that sold knockoff Hermes goods are liable for trademark infringement and cybersquatting — and on the hook for $100 million in damages, a New York federal court said Monday.
U.S. District Judge Denise Cote signed off on a default judgment and permanent injunction, filed Monday, which said the defendants were liable for trademark counterfeiting, infringement and dilution as well as cybersquatting, and awarded Hermes $100 million in statutory damages.
