Merck Prevails In Bellwether Fosamax Case

Law360, New York (May 05, 2010, 6:29 PM ET) -- Merck & Co. Inc. won a unanimous jury verdict Wednesday that dismissed a bellwether case in multidistrict litigation involving the osteoporosis drug Fosamax.

The jury in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York rejected the claims of Louise Maley, who blamed her dental and jaw-related problems on her Fosamax use, according to Merck.
