Law360, New York (April 29, 2011, 6:10 PM ET) -- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on April 25 kicked off an investigation into about 865,000 General Motors Co. SUVs after receiving a growing number of complaints about stalling caused by incorrect fuel gauge readings.
The agency's Office of Defects Investigation has received nearly 670 complaints — most within the past year — about model year 2005, 2006 and 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier and Saab 9-7x SUVs. Many consumers had complained that the vehicles' fuel level readings were inaccurately high.
