Law360, New York (May 03, 2011, 4:06 PM ET) -- U.S. regulators said Tuesday they had threatened legal action against more than a dozen websites selling unproven medications for sexually transmitted diseases, including Wartrol, Herpaflor, Viruxo, C-Cure and ImmuneGlory.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission sent warning letters to the websites' owners Thursday, demanding they resolve their violations of federal law within 15 days or face seizure of illegal products, an injunction or criminal prosecution.
