China Issues Massive Milk Recall

Law360, New York (October 14, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- In its first blanket recall in the melamine scandal, the government of China has recalled all liquid and powdered milk made before Sept. 14 — ordering the products to be tested for contamination from the chemical additive.

Chinese government news agency Xinhua reported Tuesday that six Chinese regulators had issued an urgent notice that all the products should be sent for "batch to batch" melamine tests at institutions designated by provincial-level governments.
