CPSC Staff Denies Bid For ATV Lead Exemption

Law360, New York (April 01, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Staff members of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission have shot down a request by manufacturers to exempt all-terrain vehicles and motorcycles from the safety watchdog's new lead standards, which have created a roadblock for companies that market such products for children ages 12 and under.
