Pfizer Takes On Mylan In Fight To Protect Lipitor

Law360, New York (June 16, 2009) -- Pfizer Inc. has filed an infringement lawsuit against Mylan Inc., accusing the generic-drug maker of trying to market and sell generic versions of the blockbuster anti-cholesterol drug Lipitor before the expiration of the drug giant's patents.

The lawsuit, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, says the defendants have infringed three Lipitor patents, which Pfizer controls until 2017....
