Lonestar, AMD Settle IP Suit Over Nintendo Wii Chip

Law360, New York (July 17, 2009) -- Advanced Micro Devices Inc. has agreed to pay an unspecified sum to settle an infringement suit alleging that its chips, including one used in the popular Nintendo Wii video game console, infringe a patent held by Lonestar Inventions LP.

AMD and Lonestar filed a joint motion to dismiss the suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, stating that they had reached a settlement....
