Tyson Wants Bench Trial In Chicken Waste Suit

Law360, New York (August 03, 2009) -- Tyson Foods Inc. and other poultry processors targeted in a lawsuit accusing them of polluting the Illinois River with chicken waste told the judge overseeing the suit that the claims remaining in the case — which were pared down by a court ruling last month — were suited to a bench trial, not a jury trial.
