Shell Seeks Sanctions Against Nigerian Protestors

Law360, New York (August 17, 2009) -- Shell Petroleum NV has asked a federal judge to sanction Nigerian protestors suing the oil giant over its alleged role in massive human rights violations in Nigeria in the 1990s, saying that the plaintiffs falsely claimed that several witnesses had personal knowledge of the facts in the case.
