AmEx, TQP End Data Encryption Patent Spat

Law360, New York (August 18, 2009) -- American Express Co. and American Express Travel Related Services Co. Inc. have reached an agreement with TQP Development LLC ending the credit card company's part in TQP's suit accusing nearly two dozen banks and several major credit card companies of infringing its patent related to an online encrypted data transmission method.
