Law360, New York (August 31, 2009) -- Triune Star Inc. has dropped its appeal of sanctions issued against it for filing a “frivolous” suit accusing LG Electronics Inc., the Walt Disney Co. and Pantech & Curitel Communications Inc. of infringing a patent for an infrared cell phone.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Aug. 24 granted Triune's motion to withdraw its appeal....
