Disney Forges $4B Cash-And-Stock Deal With Marvel

Law360, New York (August 31, 2009) -- The Walt Disney Co. has agreed to purchase Marvel Entertainment Inc. in a cash and stock deal totaling about $4 billion, giving Disney access to an intellectual property portfolio of thousands of comic book characters, including the popular Spider-Man, X-Men and Iron Man names.
