Sony, Others Score Win In DVD V-Chip Patent Feud

Law360, New York (September 02, 2009) -- A federal judge has ruled that Sony Electronics Inc., Panasonic Corp. and other manufacturers’ DVD players do not infringe a widely asserted patent for v-chip censorship technology, finding that the accused devices' parental control systems are not covered by the patent.
