Law360, New York (September 16, 2009) -- Hitachi America Ltd. is asking a federal court to vacate an $8.6 million award an arbitration panel said it must pay to a subcontractor that worked for Hitachi on a project to build a 790-megawatt coal-fired power plant in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
