DOJ Calls For New Deal In Google Books Settlement

Law360, New York (September 20, 2009) -- The U.S. Department of Justice explained its antitrust and copyright concerns over a proposed $125 million class settlement between author and publisher groups and Google Inc. Friday but said it supported the parties' ongoing negotiations to reach a revised deal addressing criticism from writers, competitors and regulators over the planned online library.
