Tender Offer Puts Alliant Noteholders' Suit To Rest

Law360, New York (September 30, 2009) -- Alliant Energy Corp. has received tenders from holders of $402 million in senior notes to sell their notes for $40 each, resolving a lawsuit filed last year by the trustee for the noteholders alleging Alliant defaulted on the notes by fundamentally altering the nature of its business.

Alliant and the trustee, U.S. Bank National Association, filed a stipulation Sept. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin to dismiss all claims between them...
