Consumers Bolster ATM Antitrust Suit Against First Data

Law360, New York (October 19, 2009) -- A putative class of consumers has hit First Data Corp. and the banks in its ATM network with an amended antitrust complaint alleging a conspiracy to fix interchange fees, this time saying consumers can't escape the "supracompetitive" fees by taking their business elsewhere.

The customers filed the third amended complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Friday, six weeks after a federal judge tossed an earlier complaint...
