Law360, New York (October 21, 2009) -- Google Inc.'s plan for a massive online library, currently embroiled in litigation with a U.S. copyright guild and a group of publishers, has reportedly come under fire by a Chinese group accusing the technology giant of scanning Chinese works into the digital library without authors' permission.
According to China Written Works Copyright Society, nearly 8,000 books from 570 Chinese writers have been included illegally in Google's database, the China Daily reported Wednesday....
