Class-Certified Claims Ditched In JPMorgan ERISA Suit

Law360, New York (October 21, 2009) -- A federal judge has tossed the remaining class-certified claims at the named plaintiffs' own request in a suit accusing JPMorgan Chase Bank NA of numerous Employee Retirement Income Security Act violations, including its implementation of a cash balance formula in its retirement plan that allegedly constituted age discrimination.

U.S. District Judge Denise L. Cote granted the plaintiffs' motion to voluntarily dismiss their certified claims in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday....
