Universal Music Shot Down In Bid For Attorneys' Fees

Law360, New York (October 22, 2009) -- Bridgeport Music Inc. and certain affiliates, which won two trials and reached hundreds of settlements over the use of music samples in rap recordings, will not have to pay attorneys' fees to Universal Music Group for 20 cases that were voluntarily dismissed, according to a federal appeals court panel.
