Industry, Consumer Groups Decry Ticketmaster Deal

Law360, New York (November 19, 2009) -- Following reports of the U.S. Department of Justice's qualms over the proposed $2.5 billion merger of Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. and Live Nation Inc., several industry and consumer groups on Thursday attacked the deal as a "disaster" for ticket buyers, warning that suggested remedies would do little to improve the situation.
