Judge Seeks To Stick Edison With $200M Penalty

Law360, New York (October 01, 2007) -- If a judge for the California utility regulator gets his way, Southern California Edison may have to shell out as much as $200 million in fines and ratepayer refunds for manipulating customer satisfaction surveys and safety records that allowed the utility to pocket heftier bonuses.

Administrative Law Judge Robert Barnett proposed the stiff penalty at California Public Utilities Commission’s public hearing on Thursday, according to the Associated Press....
