Citgo To Depose Activist Over Tampering Concerns

Law360, New York (November 20, 2007) -- A judge in south Texas has given Citgo Petroleum Corp. permission to depose a local environmental activist who Citgo claimed might have had improper contact with jurors who found the company guilty of violating the Clean Air Act in June.

But the actvist, Suzie Canales of Corpus Christi-based Citizens for Environmental Justice, said the deposition is a harassment tactic employed by a company with which she has an acrimonious history....
