Antitrust Suit Over Fanny, Freddie's 'G-Fees' Survives

Law360, New York (October 30, 2008) -- A federal judge on Wednesday partially granted Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac's motion to dismiss a putative antitrust class action alleging the mortgage giants collaborated instead of competed when setting guarantee fees associated with backstopping against loan defaults. But a key portion of the lawsuit survived.
