Calif. Voters Reject Renewable Energy Measure

Law360, New York (November 05, 2008) -- California voters overwhelmingly rejected a measure Tuesday that would have required state utilities to get half of their power from solar, wind and other renewable sources by 2025.

The measure, known as Proposition 7, was opposed by a broad coalition of environmentalists, utilities and renewable power producers. It was voted down 65 percent to 35 percent....
