Judge Tosses Antitrust Suit Over Tobacco Settlement

Law360, New York (January 06, 2009) -- A federal judge has thrown out an antitrust suit against a group of cigarette manufacturers and 52 attorneys general that alleged a 1998 master settlement agreement between them created obstacles for new entrants trying to break into the lucrative tobacco industry.
