Judge Tosses Oil Antitrust Suits On Political Grounds

Law360, New York (January 13, 2009) -- A federal judge has dismissed a consolidated class action and two other suits that accused Citgo Petroleum Corp. of furthering the anti-competitive practices of oil-producing countries, concluding that the allegations hinged on political issues that remain beyond the realm of the courts.
