Northwest Workers' Suit Tossed, Counsel Sanctioned

Law360, New York (March 31, 2009) -- A federal judge has ruled that counsel for Northwest Airlines Corp. quality service assistants who sued their union violated Federal Rules of Civil Procedure by not conducting a “reasonable investigation” into whether all of the plaintiffs were ever employed as QSAs at Northwest, and has granted summary judgment to the union.
