Class Cert. Revoked In Insurance Overcharge Suit

Law360, New York (April 13, 2009) -- A Florida appeals court has revoked certification for a class of consumers in a suit alleging that Safeway Premium Finance Co. improperly overcharged its customers, saying the plaintiffs failed to show that the additional charges were intentional.

According to the opinion filed Wednesday in the District Court of Appeal of Florida for the Third District, the potential class also lacked sufficient commonality in its claims....
