Law360, New York (May 14, 2010, 2:33 PM ET) -- The former chief operating officer of defunct Florida law firm Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler PA has agreed to plead guilty to charges of money laundering in connection with disgraced former attorney Scott W. Rothstein's $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme.
Debra Villegas' case will be resolved by way of a plea, Judge Lurana S. Snow of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida said Thursday.
The federal government filed a criminal information charging Villegas with one count of money laundering conspiracy on April 27.
