Law360, New York (May 28, 2010, 1:21 PM ET) -- The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority is examining whether disclosures made about subprime mortgage-backed security offerings were accurate, the regulator's Enforcement Director James Shorris said.
During FINRA's annual conference Thursday, Shorris said the regulator was probing whether broker-dealers made misstatements about their subprime mortgage-backed security offerings, a FINRA spokesman confirmed to Law 360 Friday.
FINRA's enforcement director did not given any additional details of the probe during the conference, the FINRA spokesman noted.
