SEC Considers Further Flash Crash Safeguards

Law360, New York (February 04, 2011, 2:09 PM ET) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said Friday it was weighing several measures to prevent a repeat of the stock market's May 6 flash crash, including increased scrutiny for high-speed traders and controls on automated trading algorithms.
