Criminal Charges Loom For HP Over Board Leak Probe

Law360, New York (September 08, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Widening problems for Hewlett-Packard Co.’s embattled boardroom, the Attorney General for California has said the computer giant may soon face criminal charges over the way it tapped phone records to plug a media leak.

A spokesperson for California Attorney General Bill Lockyer said that although his office hasn’t made a final decision, it believes a crime was committed and prosecution is likely.
