State Farm Katrina Plaintiffs Seek Venue Change

Law360, New York (September 22, 2009, 5:10 PM ET) -- Policyholders accusing State Farm Fire & Casualty Co. of dragging its feet over the payment of certain homeowner claims are seeking permission to refile their case in state court.

On Monday, the Hurricane Legal Center filed a motion for dismissal with prejudice on behalf of John and Rose Meehan in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, maintaining that the insurance giant does not appear interested in resolving the claim.
