SEC Asks For Jury Trial In Merrill Bonus Case

Law360, New York (October 07, 2009, 6:12 PM ET) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has asked for a trial by jury in its case against Bank of America Corp. over allegations that the bank lied to shareholders about bonuses authorized for Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. executives as part of the companies' merger.

The request came in a motion filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The case is scheduled to open on March 1.
