Law360, New York (February 10, 2011, 7:51 PM ET) -- A federal judge has temporarily barred Bayer CropScience LP from producing deadly methyl isocyanate at a closed chemical plant in West Virginia, handing a win to state residents seeking to stop the company from reopening the facility.
Judge Joseph R. Goodwin granted the residents' bid for a temporary restraining order in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia on Thursday, enjoining and restraining Bayer from resuming or engaging in the production of MIC at its facility in Institute, W.Va.
