NFL Owners Argue Against Injunction In 8th Circ.

Law360, New York (May 09, 2011, 9:46 PM ET) -- National Football League team owners asked the Eighth Circuit on Monday to overturn a district court's April 25 preliminary injunction against the NFL's lockout in a proposed antitrust class action brought by a group of players.

The district court had no jurisdiction to issue the preliminary injunction against the lockout, instituted shortly after the antitrust suit was filed in March, according to the NFL's filing. The injunction has been stayed temporarily by the Eighth Circuit while the court hears the appeal.
