Precision BioSciences Fires New Round In DNA IP Feud

Law360, Los Angeles (September 27, 2011, 7:58 PM ET) -- Biotechnology company Precision BioSciences Inc. slammed French rival and ongoing litigation foe Cellectis SA with an infringement suit Monday in North Carolina over a patent for meganucleases, molecular scissors used for highly targeted DNA modification.

According to the suit, Cellectis and two subsidiaries have violated U.S. Patent Number 8,021,867, issued to Duke University on Sept. 20 and for which Precision claims to have an exclusive license.
