Apple Slams Motorola Bid To Add Products To IP Fight

Law360, New York (November 08, 2011, 2:27 PM ET) -- Apple Inc. urged a Florida federal court on Monday to reject Motorola Mobility Inc.'s bid to bring three more Apple products — iTunes, the iPhone 4S and the iCloud — into a heated patent war between the tech giants over wireless and smartphone innovations.

Apple's filing asked the court to strike an attempt by Motorola to supplement its patent infringement claims, arguing that if Motorola was allowed to proceed despite a court-imposed June 1 deadline for infringement contentions, the litigation would be significantly delayed.
