Law360, New York (March 02, 2012, 12:33 PM ET) -- More than 100 former state attorneys general issued a sharp warning Thursday to the U.S. Supreme Court that the bribery conviction of former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman may spur politically charged prosecutions over campaign donations if not overturned.
In an amici brief, 113 of the ex-attorneys general asked the high court to hear Siegelman’s appeal of an Eleventh Circuit ruling last year upholding much of his conviction.
