Martin Marietta Asks To Resume $5.5B Vulcan Bid Amid Appeal

Law360, New York (May 11, 2012, 8:08 PM ET) -- Martin Marietta Materials Inc. asked a Delaware judge Friday to let it bring its hostile takeover bid for rival Vulcan Materials Co. to a Vulcan shareholder vote next month despite a court order halting the $5.5 billion bid until September.
